With a calm determination, an unwavering creative drive and a keen ability to grasp business opportunities, our founder Jürgen Heindl has made Progroup what it is today: a European pioneer in the corrugated board and paper industry. He celebrated his 70th birthday on 29 January 2025. This was a delightful moment to look back and above all say thank you.

Ever since the company was founded in 1991, Heindl has always believed that innovation requires courage, conviction and clarity. With his vision of reimagining the industry, he has consistently embraced modern systems, digital processes and working alongside customers in partnership. The company’s success proves him right: Progroup has been growing sustainably for many years.

His life’s work in business has earned him numerous awards, including the Business Medal of the State of Rhineland-Palatinate (2021) and Admission to the Hall of Fame for Family-Owned ­Businesses (2023).

Even though he has now retired from the operational business, Jürgen Heindl remains an influential force, as deputy chairman of the Supervisory Board, as managing director of JH Holding GmbH, but above all as an entrepreneurial figure who inspires.

The fact that his two sons are now the second generation to run Progroup sends a strong signal. It shows that values are not just words. They can grow, evolve and endure. With respect for what has been achieved and the aspiration to keep doing it with an eye on the future.

Dear Jürgen, you’ve set the benchmark: as a businessman and as a human being. Thank you for the vision you have shown in developing Progroup, the inspiration you have always been for us and the trust you have placed in us. We wish you one thing above all else for the years ahead: time. For everything that is important to you. For your family. For the wind in your hair as you ride your motorbike on your adventure trips. For new ideas that you just have to share. And for the joy of looking ahead.
